The sole basis of our belief is the Bible, composed of 66 books in the Old and New Testaments combined. We believe that Scripture in its entirety originated with God and that it was given through the guidance of the Holy Spirit to human authors for recording. Therefore, the Bible speaks with the authority of God and reflects the backgrounds, styles, and vocabularies of these chosen men. We firmly believe the Scriptures are without error in the original manuscripts, and because of this, they are completely trustworthy.

Our understanding of man, God, and the salvation He offers us through Christ depends on our belief and knowledge of the Bible. The Bible is unique, full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice, and there are no other writings similarly inspired by God. All that we believe is supported by archaeologically, scientifically, historically, sociologically, and prophetically.

The Oak Bridge Statement of Faith is based on God's Word as found in the Bible rather than speculation or tradition. We try not to be strict about matters on which Bible-based believers hold differing views.  Our core beliefs are centered in Christ and His message as found in and supported by the clearest passages of Scripture. Other beliefs that are secondary, in that they have less scriptural support, are left to individuals to sort out on their own--we take no official position in these areas.  Ask yourself though, "What difference does this truth make in my life? If I didn't know or believe this, would it matter?"
